White Fillings
Most of the fillings we do now are done with “composite” or “tooth colored” material. Using composite allows us to save more of your natural tooth and to “bond” the composite to your existing tooth which gives you and almost undetectable filling. However, if a filling replaces more that 50% of your natural tooth, a crown could be recommended.
Esthetics
White fillings are fantastic from a cosmetic perspective because they come in a wide variety of shades – which in turn allows us to match the color of teeth with incredible accuracy.
Saving Tooth Structure
One of the best features of white fillings is that because they do bond to the teeth, we can remove less tooth structure than we had to in the past with silver fillings.
